The Val d'Oise is commemorating the armistice of November 11, 1918, this Tuesday: discover the ceremonies organized in the major cities of the 95.

After four years of conflict and immeasurable losses, the guns finally fell silent, and peace was within reach: on November 11, 1918, the belligerent countries of World War I signed the armistice, the first step toward the total end of this terrible war.

Today, November 11 is a public holiday, a national holiday that commemorates the end of the war and pays tribute to the soldiers and civilians who were victims of this unprecedented conflict. Throughout the day on November 11, many towns and cities celebrate the memory of those who died for France with ceremonies and memorial events that are open to all.

The towns and villages of Val d'Oise are no exception. Several municipalities in the Île-de-France department are organizing a special commemoration on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
