The FIFA World Cup is rolling on across the Atlantic, testing fans’ nerves to the limit. After the group stage and the round of 16, the quarter-finals are up next, with two European clashes in particular: Spain vs Belgium and Norway vs England.
Before that, all eyes will be on Boston, which is set to host this week the French team and Morocco for the opening quarterfinal. This sporting event will be staged this Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 10 p.m. (French time). So, who will emerge victorious in this clash? Who will advance to face in the semifinals Belgium or Spain? For now, predictions are running hot.
One thing’s for sure, football fans will be tuning in in large numbers for this Thursday night’s match. The consequence? Just like last Saturday during the Canada-Morocco and Paraguay-France games, the Paris Police Prefecture has decided to shut several metro stations in the capital.
In detail, the station will not be served at Charles de Gaulle – Étoile this Thursday from 9:00 p.m., on Metro lines 1, 2 and 6 and on the RER A.
The RATP also announces that access to the stations Argentine (line 1), George V (line 1), Madeleine (lines 8, 12 and 14), Miromesnil (lines 9 and 13), Ternes (line 2) and Tuileries (line 1) will be closed on July 9 from 9 p.m. Note that trains will not stop there. Additionally, on line 6 of the metro, the traffic will be interrupted between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and Trocadéro.
