The departure is scheduled for 4 p.m. from the Notre-Dame-des-Champs church, with an arrival at Place Saint-Michel around 5 p.m. The popemobile will notably travel along the Boulevard du Montparnasse, then the Boulevard Saint-Michel, on its way to the Seine.

To witness the passage of Leo XIV, no reservation is required. The public will be divided into 12 independent reception zones, each accessible via a screening point overseen by the Police Prefecture and the volunteers mobilized for the event. It will not be possible to move directly from one zone to another: you’ll need to exit the secured perimeter and go through screening again. The detailed plan for the 12 sectors and their access points is still to be announced.

Security screening points will open at 12 p.m. Before the Pope's arrival, activities are planned along the route, including more than 50 amateur music groups, as well as moments of singing and prayer.

Several items will be prohibited within the perimeter, including weapons and dangerous objects, pyrotechnic devices, alcohol, glass containers, motorcycle or bicycle helmets, large bags and suitcases. Flags and banners will be allowed after inspection, but rigid flagpoles made of wood, metal or hard plastic will not.

This papamobile procession will precede vespers at Notre-Dame de Paris at 5:15 p.m., followed by the grand youth vigil at the Stade de France in the evening. The next day, Saturday, September 26, Pope Leo XIV will lead at 3 p.m. an outdoor Mass on the Place de la Concorde and along the Champs-Élysées, in the streets of Paris.
