Another day of youth-led protests. This Tuesday, October 6, 2026, high school and university groups are determined to have their voices heard. Students are demanding, in particular, the scrapping of Parcoursup, “an emergency plan for the buildings,” reform of school hours, and a massive teacher hiring program.
Following a meeting deemed disappointing with the Minister of National Education on October 2, several high school unions have called to keep the momentum going with an “Act 3” and a major national demonstration planned for October 6. This time, the youth will be backed by certain confederations, including CGT, the FSU, Solidaires and the FNEC-FO, but also by the FCPE and the Confédération paysanne.
