The Louvre Museum will be closed on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The museum has confirmed the exceptional closure on its official website due to demonstrations planned in Paris. If you were planning to explore its collections or exhibitions this Saturday, you’ll need to choose another date for your visit.
The Louvre says that people who booked a visit for October 24 will be automatically refunded. This information appears in the alert displayed on its homepage and on the opening hours and admission prices page. The museum gives no indication of when refunds will be issued or whether visitors need to take any specific steps.
For another visit, pay close attention to the date you choose: the Louvre’s entry policy states that tickets are valid only for the date and time shown. So check the day and time slot of your reservation before setting out.
The Louvre also states that reservations are required from October 17 to November 1, 2026, subject to the exemptions detailed on its website. If you are planning another visit during this period, check the available time slots on the official ticketing website and any alerts issued by the museum before booking.
