This year, Triel-sur-Seine is pulling out all the stops to mark the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, February 14, 2026! This weekend, the picturesque town in Yvelines (78) will burst into vibrant colors, enticing flavors, and traditional performances, delighting families and anyone passionate about Asian culture.
The Chinese New Year Parade kicks off at 5:15 PM from Châtelaines, featuring the legendary lions and dragons that will flood the streets of the city. After the traditional eye-opening ceremony of the Dragon, the procession will take over the streets with a massive dragon and lively batucada rhythms, making its way to Place Philippe Prévost by 7 PM. There, the Blue Dragon Show will unfold, blending dance and kung fu demonstrations. Join the musical procession with your loved ones and celebrate until nightfall!
Another highlight of the day will be the school choir "Retour en Yvelines" performing at 8 p.m., followed by the fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. The festivities will carry on with a raffle draw, then dance the night away with an evening of live DJ music that will keep the city lively until 10 p.m.
So, are you ready to follow the dragons and celebrate the Chinese New Year 2026 in the Yvelines?
