A great opportunity to discover the world of stamps! As part of the 21st annual Nuit des Musées (Museum Night), the Musée de la Poste is offering night-time tours of its permanent collections on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Come and discover the history and richness of this unusual museum.

The Musée de la Poste opened its doors for the very first time on June 4, 1946, in the heart of theHôtel de Choiseul-Praslin, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. The museum originally housed a collection of postage stamps. The museum moved to the Necker district, in the 15th arrondissement, in a brand-new, larger space built between 1969 and 1972. The inauguration took place a year later, in 1973, in the presence ofHubert Germain, Minister of the Post Office. The museum reopened in 2019, after several years of renovation.

Today, you'll discover the history of the Post Office, as well as major stamp collections. These astonishing collections may well surprise you: there are overa million philatelic items, more than 200,000 images, 37,000 works and objects illustrating the history and professions of La Poste from the Middle Ages to the present day, 30,000 printed works and 800 magazine titles, not forgetting a collection of mail art andcontemporary art.

On the program for Nuit des Musées 2025 at the Musée de la Poste:

  • HYPNOTIC TOUR OF THE EXHIBITION
Led by hypnologist Juliette Verga Laliberté, who views her craft as a relational state with oneself and the world. This activity invites visitors to reconnect with the essence and the senses, offering a fresh perspective on the artworks and a unique view of the exhibition “La fabrique du Temps.” It’s also a chance for visitors to surrender to an unusual experience, distorting time and freeing themselves from everyday constraints.
    Schedule: 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM / 8:15 PM – 8:45 PM / 9:00 PM – 9:30 PM

  • A JOURNEY INTO A TIME LOOP: FILM SCREENING
On the top floor of the museum, the experience shifts into a different gear with a film screening. If you could relive the same day over and over, which one would you choose? The mysterious protagonist doesn’t have a say—every morning, they awaken to the same song, stuck in the same town with a curious mascot. We bet this film speaks to visitors! Only the seventh art can tell such stories, so join us at the La Poste Museum to discover what to do if you ever find yourself caught in a time loop.
    Screening time: 7:30 PM

  • “SLEEP CONCERT”: AN IMMERSIVE RELAXATION EXPERIENCE
To close the evening, the La Poste Museum invites you to a musical nap hosted by Ujjaya and Aurélien Digard. Ujjaya, a prominent figure in European ethno-ambient music, merges his soundworld with that of Aurélien Digard—a photographer and guitarist passionate about the Paris experimental scene. Over 2.5 hours, enchanting layers, ritual instruments, and hypnotic sounds will guide visitors into a deep, immersive relaxation and letting-go, where time seems to stand still.
    Schedule: 9:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Le programme est mis à jour en fonction des annonces officielles.
