As part of the 22nd edition of Museum Night, the Louis Senlecq Museum of Art and History in L'Isle-Adam invites you to enjoy a variety of activities this Saturday, May 23, 2026, with special evening hours. It's the perfect opportunity for a memorable night out with family or friends during this highly anticipated cultural event.

The Nuit of Museums is happening on Saturday, May 23, 2026! For its 22nd edition, if you live in Val-d'Oise (or if you're eager to explore the region's heritage), why not head to the Louis Senlecq Museum of Art and History in L'Isle-Adam? Enjoy its exhibits during this special, free evening event, open exclusively for the occasion.

The museum, founded in 1939 by Dr. Louis Senlecq - then mayor of L'Isle-Adam, surgeon and lover of art and regional history - in the Maison des Joséphites, has been welcoming visitors since 2006, after a series of renovations, to discover local history and the artists and great men who have illustrated the town. For a long time, it was even an association museum, supervised by the Direction des Musées de France and managed by theAssociation des Amis de L'Isle-Adam.

And as a reminder, the Nuit des Musées is the cultural event of the month of May, not to be missed under any circumstances! During the evening, many museums await you to immerse yourself in their collections through visits, animations, installations and other shows, all at night, free of charge. It's a chance to discover culture in a whole new way!

  • Landscapes in Memory Caroline Bouyer – Ariane Fruit
    Saturday, May 23, 2026 — 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Exhibition Showcasing the Etched and Drawn Works of Caroline Bouyer and Ariane Fruit

Caroline Bouyer’s engravings, depicting scenes such as train tracks, Parisian construction sites, the périphérique gates, and the blast furnaces of Dunkirk, converse visually with Ariane Fruit’s works, which evoke nocturnal Paris views, the landscapes of the Petite Ceinture, and the endless Rue de Rome.

After exploring industrial and urban landscapes, the exhibition shifts to the vast Canadian forests and the beaches and cliffs of Normandy, detailed through Ariane Fruit’s drawings and etchings. It continues with Caroline Bouyer’s etchings, where plant life and mineral forms intertwine in imaginative, poetic compositions.

Through a selection of over a hundred pieces, these two artists invite visitors to reflect on how territories evolve and how memory of spaces is preserved—balancing documentary observation with poetic imagination.
