The Musée Gustave Moreau is famous for its refined and majestic spiral staircase, located at 14 rue de la Rochefoucauld. The provincial-looking house-museum houses the painter's home and his studios, where his works are exhibited. Gustave Moreau refurbished the family home in 1895, three years before his death, to bring his paintings together here.

    Legends never die.
Outdated heroes, incandescent figures of a dreamlike Middle Ages rewritten over and over again, Iseult and Tristan come back to life and body. Playwright and director Olivier Dhénin gives voice to the incompleteness of the living legend, the forgotten word and the read book, and its perpetual rewriting. Mirroring the symbolist painter's paintings and sketches, through lyrical fragments and fetish objects, the poetry reminds us of the distant story of a magic potion and a death of love.
This fragment of drama in seven scenes takes up the final episode of the Celtic legend: Iseult's return to Tristan, who is dying in Carhaix. The lovers have been separated, their love having been discovered by King Marc. The wounded Tristan hopes for the return of Yseult, who had once healed the mortal wound inflicted during the battle with the Morholt.
Paraphrasing the verses of Thomas of England, Olivier Dhénin brings this medieval legend back to life, focusing on the death of the lovers, the transfiguration of infinite love.
