The National Assembly opens its doors to music lovers on the weekend of June 21 and 22, 2025, for the new Fête de la musique. A host of events are scheduled for this lively weekend, so don't forget to register before June 18!

Missing her? It's back! On Saturday June 21, 2025 , the Fête de la musique is set to sweep through Paris and the Île-de-France region in a new edition just as exciting as its predecessors! To mark the occasion, the institution is offering us not one day, but two, through an open house weekend.

For over 40 years now, this popular and festive event has been putting a smile on our faces every June 21, the day of the summer solstice, with its countless free concerts. There's plenty to see and do in the streets, of course, but also in parks, squares and gardens, cultural centers, museums, bars, cafés and restaurants, not forgetting institutions such as the National Assembly!

Located on rue de l'Université, the National Assembly, along with the Senate, forms the famous Parliament of the Fifth Republic, and continues to fascinate the French. In fact, from time to time, this place of power organizes open doors for the general public, to immerse themselves in the history of this mythical place.

Situated between the Place de la Concorde and the Musée d'Orsay, the Assemblée Nationale unveils its architectural treasures: the Hôtel de Lassay, seat of the Presidency, the Palais Bourbon with its mythical hemicycle, and the recently restored library.

The tour closes on the colonnade of the Palais Bourbon, dressed for the occasion by artist Elsa Tomkowiak, whose work Echo transforms the building's steps into a chromatic installation visible until September 2025.

A visit to the National Assembly during the Fête de la Musique in Paris combines institutional discovery, cultural heritage and live music in a unique setting.
