More than 40 years of festive celebrations, and the Fête de la Musique keeps moving us year after year! On June 21, all of France celebrates music in every genre, with beginner and veteran artists alike, performing in the streets, the parks, the restaurants, the churches or concert venues.
Launched in France in the early 1980s, the Fête de la Musique is a celebration of music and artists of all styles and genres, with no cultural hierarchy. An initiative much appreciated by the French, who have been coming out in force for all these years.
In the inner ring of Greater Paris, the town of Montreuil, renowned for its artistic, solidarity-minded and popular vibe where cultures mingle and countercultures thrive, we’re getting ready to celebrate summer with music! So what’s on the agenda in this eastern suburb for this Music Day 2026 in Île-de-France? Free concerts by Kalash, Franglish, Keziah Jones, Marie Jay, 2L, and Guerta, plus a firework show... Here’s a curated roundup of musical plans and activities lining up at the parc Montreau!
Note that this two-day event, scheduled for Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June 2026, is organized as part of the fête de la ville et du festival des cultures urbaines which, once again this year, coincide with the Fête de la musique.
