Heads up: due to the red heatwave alert, some events of the Music Day 2026 may be canceled, postponed or altered. Check information before you head out.
A fresh edition of the Fête de la musique is on the way. This popular, feel-good celebration returns across France on Sunday, June 21, 2026. What’s in store? A torrent of free live gigs to discover in the streets, as well as in parks, squares and gardens, museums, churches, and dedicated music venues.
As every June 21, all music takes the spotlight: from rock to rap, from electro to classical, from jazz to blues, from reggae to zouk... French women and men alike can dive in with gusto and perhaps discover the talent of tomorrow.
Launched in 1982 by Jack Lang, then the Minister of Culture, the Fête de la musique has, over the years, become a must-attend moment, eagerly anticipated by many. And every year, the music-filled offers for the occasion are more plentiful, even insolites for some.
In that spirit, this Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the heart of the Hôtel de la Marine, specifically in the main courtyard, are invited all those who want to raise their voices. On the occasion of World Music Day, a large participatory choir will take shape, for everyone to sing along to your favorite tracks.

Choir: anyone can sing at the Hôtel de la Marine
On World Music Day, June 21, 2026, the association “Everyone Can Sing” invites the public to join its participatory choir. From Dalida to The Beatles to Calogero, let the choir’s voices carry you in the courtyard of the Hôtel de la Marine. A public, free-to-attend event from 4 to 6 p.m.
