If ever there was a day to make some noise, this is it! The Fête de la musique returns to France on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with a host of free concerts as always. Rock, rap, jazz, classical, blues, zouk, metal, electro and variety... every year on the same date, budding musicians and singers give their all to bring live music to every street corner.
The Fête de la Musique was launched in 1982 by the French Ministry of Culture. This year, 2025, marks the 43rd anniversary of this popular, free musical event, which has become a firm favorite with the general public. As with previous editions, this new Fête de la Musique is an opportunity"to emphasize the principles that presided over its creation: a festive, popular and spontaneous event, aimed at all audiences and designed to highlight and encourage amateur practices", as stated on the Ministry of Culture website.
So, what musical program awaits you in the Paris region on June 21? If you live in Seine-et-Marne, there are a number of free concerts scheduled in this département, such as in Fontainebleau. Known for its castle, but also for its rock-climbing sites in the beautiful forest, Fontainebleau hosts numerous cultural events throughout the year. The town couldn't afford to miss the Fête de la Musique. On Saturday June 21, 2025, the town will be transformed into an open-air stage from 7pm to midnight. Here's the program!
