The program for the Fête de la Musique 2025 in Paris at Plantation

"Chtah fe Stah, fête de l'Algérie" will celebrate the Algerian regions, as well as Algerian arts and crafts, in a program concocted by the Day Z Collective and the Icossium Art association.

Algeria and Plantation share a love of rooftops. Whether in Algiers or other cities, "Stah", the roof, is literally a second street, a second city. It's where you offer your laundry to the sun, Mediterranean-style, where you chat with your neighbors, where you stroll on summer evenings, where you observe the street and your neighbors, where you live and dream. Whether furnished or just a floor never finished, the terraces are brimming with life, often feminine, a life often told by cinema and literature, so the Plantation rooftop is well suited to being a little Algeria, for the time of a music festival.

Program:
1. Immersive afternoon

  • Immersive cafés: lively exploration of Algeria's regions (traditional atmospheres);
  • Traditional dances: demonstrations and initiations to the rhythms of Algerian heritage;
  • Exhibition: New face of the Algerian artist, contemporary views on creation;
  • Drawing workshop: For children and adults, a free space for expression
  • Tales from the desert: Tales for families and children in a desert tent.
  • Traditional weaving: Demonstration of ancestral skills;
  • Artisan and designer stalls: Unique, handmade objects to discover;
  • Finger food: Tasty treats to tantalize the taste buds.
