The 18th arrondissement of Paris is home to a rooftop that goes all out. And no wonder—this one-of-a-kind venue sits inside one of Europe’s largest urban farms. Here’s what you need to know about the Plantation Paris concept.

Every summer brings a fresh breeze to Paris. As the sunny days return, terraces bloom and occasionally surprise, promising each season a lineup of must-visit hotspots where Parisians, both casual and devoted, gather. This summer marks the return of a spot with a vitamin-packed program: Plantation Paris

This rooftop sits at the heart of one of Europe’s largest urban farms, located in Paris, in the 18th arrondissement. While the venue has been around for a few years, it’s only been two years since a public rooftop opened here. From Friday to Sunday evenings, from now through October 18, 2026, you can head to this green hotspot that aims to be a flagship of a new form of urban farming, promoting the locavore movement.

This summer, you’ll find a plant-forward menu designed by Jimmy's Street Food, featuring flavors built around fruits, vegetables, flowers and aromatics grown on site, with a playful, responsible consumption approach. The chef reimagines the summer and apéritif staples in his own style, with vegetables shaped like merguez to evoke the barbecue, an almost guacamole (avocados out, zucchini in), a grilled cheese made with plant-based cheese... all accompanied by natural wines, artisanal juices and sodas, and beers from local breweries.

This is the kind of spot where you eat well and vibe hard, because the appeal sits just as much in the programming as in the menu. The only caveat: don’t be put off by a 100% plant-based menu. If the place is vegan-friendly, it’s not a placebo effect but a genuine culinary approach that proves you can have pleasure, not just constraint, from plant-based cooking. Hats off to the value for money: nothing on the plate costs more than €12.

As we warned you, this spot promises to have us buzzing to a vitamin-packed lineup while offering a stunning view of the iconic Sacré-Cœur, perched atop the Montmartre hill. The menu features open-air concerts, foodie-centric festivals, tastings, talks, family activities, and screenings right at the heart of this 7,000-square-meter farm. We strongly recommend checking the schedule before you go!

In the heart of Paris, there’s already a rooftop atop an urban farm: Le Perchoir, located at Porte de Versailles, while in the Île-de-France region, a similar project is taking shape near Noisy-Le-Grand. In the coming years, we can expect to see more of these kinds of spots popping up across Île-de-France.
