Climb to the top of the Cheval Blanc Paris, above the Jardin et Tout Paris terrace, to discover Le Céleste, an exceptional ephemeral bar that has just opened its summer terrace for summer 2025. A chic, hushed interlude on the 10th floor, where you can sip refined cocktails while admiring the sunset over the capital.
It's the kind of secret address that's well worth the detour, so spectacular is the panorama over the capital's rooftops. Le Céleste, the perched bar at Cheval Blanc Paris that we discovered as a winter bubble, has been transformed for the summer into an open-air terrace, with a view that sweeps over the whole of Paris in a single glance. From Notre-Dame Cathedral to the Musée d'Orsay, from the dome of the Invalides to the Eiffel Tower, it's magical.
As the sky turns pink and orange, the mood softens and the magic happens. On the à la carte menu, each cocktail is accompanied by delicate appetizers designed by chef Arnaud Donckele. During our visit, we discovered a Comté babka with eggplant tartar, a croque fromage and a seasonal pea tartlet.
Let yourself be tempted by fresh, daring alcohol-free creations like Rose Gravity, a strawberry-basil granita, or Lemon Heights, a sparkling lemonade with ginger and pomegranate (€25). For lovers of more classic recipes, there's the Cognac Margarita, the Basil Smash, the Negroni or theEspresso Martini. Here, each cocktail is priced at €43, including appetizers, for an experience as carefully crafted as it is tasty. Curious palates can even opt for a tasting of Osciètre or Beluga caviar.
On the spot, you're lulled by the Parisian atmosphere. You really feel at the heart of the party. During our visit, we could hear Fnac Live on the Hôtel de Ville side, a lively brass band on the Ile de la Cité and the bustle of the Paradiso open-air cinema at the Louvre, just across the street. The highlight of the show? the climb up the Olympic cauldron, a unique suspended moment.
Céleste is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 6pm to midnight, by reservation only. This exclusive, unostentatious address is ideal for a chic aperitif with a small group, away from the hustle and bustle.
With a glass in hand and your gaze turned towards the Seine, you can savor this suspended moment as a discreet interlude in the heart of Paris. For those of you who like hidden goodies, Céleste deserves a place on your list of rooftops to try out this summer.
