Rock, rap, classical, variety, jazz, zouk, funk, blues and electro... On June 21, all styles will be heard throughout the capital as part of the Fête de la musique.
Every year on the same date, a strange phenomenon takes place, but one that's oh so festive and convivial. Every June 21, budding musicians take to the streets to celebrate music in all its forms, and to make themselves known to as many people as possible. For one day and one evening, music takes over every street corner, as well as bars and restaurants, parks and gardens, churches and museums.
Concerts are also organized at emblematic venues and institutions, such as the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Located in the Pavillon Boncourt, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, this ministry implements the government's policy on universal access to knowledge and the development of higher education.
On Saturday June 21, 2025, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research will be taking part in the Fête de la Musique. For the occasion, the institution is opening its doors to the public and welcoming several student brass bands to its gardens. On the program? The Jacky Parmentier (Fanfare of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles), the Viteuf (Fanfare of 6th year medical students) and the Royal F*cking Fanfare (fanfare of the Mines de Paris)!
