This collection, one of the oldest in the world, includes Clément Ader's Aéroplane, known as Avion n° 3 (1897), Foucault's pendulum (1851), Pascal's Machine arithmétique (1642-1652), Lavoisier's Gazomètre (1787), Thimonnier's model of the first sewing machine (1830), as well as the model of the "Telstar 1" telecommunications satellite and other technical and technological innovations of the 20th century.
