Why not take the opportunity to discover what awaits you at the Palais Galliera ? Conceived by the Duchess of Galliera to showcase her art collection to the general public, themansion was built in 1894. The Renaissance-inspired building became a museum of industrial art, rather than the Duchesse de Galliera's own collection. It wasn't until 1977, however, that the Paris City Council returned the building to its original purpose: the Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris was born. Closed for more than 2 years, the Palais Galliera reopened in 2021, unveiling a permanent collection in addition to temporary exhibitions.
