If you’re in eastern Paris, don’t miss the chance to explore the Parc de la Villette and its massive audiovisual installation created by Joanie Lemercier. A French visual artist and climate activist, Joanie Lemercier draws her inspiration from nature. For this Nuit Blanche 2022, she presents “Constellations,” a mesmerizing, immersive journey in three dimensions that promises a sensory adventure through the night.
Described as a poetic exploration of the cosmos, this contemporary installation hovers in the night sky, creating a striking three-dimensional effect with light projected onto a curtain of fine water droplets. To enhance the overall experience, Joanie Lemercier plays with the aquatic reflections along the Ourcq Canal. Please note that the installation lasts around fifteen minutes and activates every half hour.
