On Saturday, June 6, 2026, embark on a cultural Nuit Blanche in the capital. For a quirky experience that lets you get up close with the artists, head to 59 Rivoli, Paris’s most famous squat. Discover the lineup for this all-night arts event!

It is one of the most anticipated cultural events in Paris each year: Nuit Blanche returns on the night of June 6 to 7, 2026, for a 25th edition that remains full of surprises. Nuit Blanche is above all about making art accessible to everyone by lifting the curtain on artists' residencies, cultural venues, museums or by introducing numerous institutions connected to culture. Since its inception, no fewer than 4,000 French and international artists have participated, showcasing their work during these nights dedicated to creativity and art.

Paris is home to several museums and art venues dedicated to contemporary creation. Among these is 59 Rivoli, the capital's most famous artists' squat. Located in the heart of the capital, this building stands out first and foremost for its astonishing façade. Inside, the surprises are even more numerous.

59 Rivoli is a multi-storey building dedicated tocontemporary art. It welcomes some thirty artists in its studios, just a stone's throw from Châtelet. The space is open to the curious, who come in droves to visit and chat with the artists in residence.

As you'd expect, 59 Rivoli is taking part in this major celebration of contemporary art, welcoming visitors free of charge until 1am. Find out more about the evening below.

When you love something, you have no choice but to fight for it.
Fight against oppressive systems that turn relationships into spaces of domination and make love a cage.
Fight for those who matter to us, whose individuality is denied, stigmatized or attacked by a corrosive system whose toxicity seeps into the intimate.
To have the chance to explore sincere and equitable loves, we must stand up against the injustices that touch our loved ones in their bodies, in their material realities, and in their multiple identities.
At 59 Rivoli, we seize Nuit Blanche to dream of our loves and to build utopias where they can exist fully.

In 1999, about a dozen artists crossed the doors of 59 rue de Rivoli and moved in, setting up their studios. In 2000, the artists faced a threat of eviction, but the election of Bertrand Delanoë as Paris mayor in 2001 changed the situation: he pledged to buy back the building and secure its artistic use into the long term. After several years of renovation work, 59 Rivoli officially reopened in 2009. That reopening marked the institutional recognition of a venue that has proven itself through creativity and collective resilience. The building became an alternative artistic center where, still today, around thirty artists with studios share with the public the intimacy of their creative process.
