Every year this event reshapes the capital and invites us to see Paris in a new light, bringing art out of its usual spaces. Installations, performances, light-based works, sound pieces, and immersive experiences spill into public space, historic buildings, gardens, and everyday places. The 2026 edition will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, across Paris and its metropolis, with a program built around a wide variety of forms in contemporary creation.
Nestled in the 10th arrondissement, Gare du Nord is one of Paris’s flagship terminal stations. It stands as the northern hub of the rail network, linking not only to the north of France but also to several European destinations. Its story begins in the 19th century. An initial station opened in 1846, later replaced by a larger building to accommodate the surge in rail traffic. The current station opened to the public on 19 April 1864, amid a period of rapid travel growth driven by the Industrial Revolution.
Architecturally, the building is linked to Jacques-Ignace Hittorff, renowned for his monumental works in Paris. For La Nuit Blanche 2026, the forecourt stops being just a pass-through space. It becomes a gathering hub where railway heritage, urban energy, and contemporary creation converge.
Installation monumentale
