If you've ever lived or visited Paris, it's impossible not to be familiar with the Champ-de-Mars: an essential part of Parisian life, it's here that people gather all year round for a jog or a stroll with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, during major events such as July 14... For the Olympic and Paralympic Games taking place in Paris during the summer of 2024, the venue is also being called upon to host some of the sporting events, within a brand-new and, above all, ephemeral stadium.
Facing the Grand Palais Éphémère, also transformed into the Champ-de-Mars Arena for the Paris Olympics, the eponymous garden will be used for the cecifoot and volleyball events, from July 26 to September 7. As a result, a temporary arena, the Stade Tour Eiffel, will be built from scratch, to be dismantled at the end of the Games and restore the Champ-de-Mars to its former charm and function as a place for strolling.
To get to the Stade Tour Eiffel during the races, we recommend taking RER line C (Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel or Pont de l'Alma stop), metro line 9 (Alma-Marceau stop) or metro line 6 (Bir-Hakeim stop). As the site is outdoors, spectators are invited to bring weather-appropriate accessories (umbrella, sun cream, cap, etc.).
