To mark the start of theSummer of Canal 2025, we're planning a brand-new event: Canal en pagaies, a unique and above all, fun event! So, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, the general public is invited to Sevran, in the Seine-Saint-Denis département, to take part in the great descent of the Canal de l'Ourcq, as far as Pantin (93).
In kayak, paddle or canoe, you can complete a 10-kilometer course during this particularly unusual sporting event. In all, you'll cross seven towns in the Seine-Saint-Denis département, just by taking in the Canal de l'Ourcq!
You can rent a boat for as little as €10, or bring your own equipment (provided it meets safety standards) if you already own one! If you're interested in crossing the Canal de l'Ourcq from Sevran to Pantin, come along to Sevran on Saturday July 5, from 2.30pm! Canal en pagaies will run in parallel withOpen Swim, an open-water course on the Canal de l'Ourcq: so, to celebrate both events, a large festive area with entertainment and shows will be set up at Place de la Pointe, in Pantin.
