An unusual experience: try your hand at pedal paddling on the Marne at La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (77)

You're no doubt familiar with this large, fully-inflated board, which requires a certain amount of balance to move forward, either standing or seated, usinga single paddle. In La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, in the Seine-et-Marne département, the nautical base offers you the chance to try another form of the discipline: the pedal paddle.

Much more stable than its cousin the "classic" paddle, the pedal paddle is fitted with handlebars and two grips, to indicate your direction (right or left) to the board. As the name suggests, to move forward, you'll need to pedal alternately on both legs.

You'll pay €10 per person for thirty minutes' paddling, bearing in mind that the activity is open to adults only. The activity is available from 05/07 to 05/09/2025, every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 7pm, and from 06/09 to 05/10/2025, every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 7pm from Ferté Confluences, the Marne leisure port in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre .
