The Diderot Park pool in Pantin (93): free swimming all summer

For several years now, every summer it's the same refrain in Pantin: the highly anticipated bassin du parc Diderot opens its doors to budding swimmers to cool off throughout August, during the summer holidays. This outdoor natural water feature offers a completely free swimming spot open to all, spanning nearly 700m2, from June 15 to August 31, 2026. In case of a heatwave, swimming will be accessible until 22:00 or 23:00, as indicated on the Pantin city website.

The big new feature for the 2026 season is that educational activities will take place in the morning, starting July 4 and overseen by the city’s neighborhood houses and community leisure centers.

However, before coming for a swim, a few rules must be observed: all bathers must wear a bathing cap (and a swimsuit, of course!). Children under 12 - and those who can't swim - must also be accompanied by an adult in swimwear. In case of overcrowding, slots are limited to 45 minutes. Showers and cabins are also available.

Practical information about swimming at Diderot Park:

• From June 15 to July 3, weekdays 6:00–10:00 p.m., weekends 2:00–9:00 p.m.
• From July 4 to August 30, open Tuesday to Sunday, 2:00–8:00 p.m. (hours may be adjusted in case of a heatwave)
