House of Gucci tells the story of Italian businessman Maurizio Gucci, found murdered by his wife in March 1995. Filmmaker Ridley Scott directs this drama starring Adam Driver, Lady Gaga and Frenchwoman Camille Cottin. The biopic will be released in cinemas on November 24, 2021.

Ridley Scott, 83, is the director of"Blade Runner","Alien, the Eighth Passenger","Thelma and Louise","Gladiator" (a sequel is scheduled for 2025),"The Fall of the Black Hawk","Hannibal" and"Alone on Mars".
With House of Gucci, he adapts Sara Gay Forden 's book The House of Gucci: a sensational story of murder, madness, glamour and greed.

And for this biopic, Ridley Scott has assembled a huge cast. The Gucci heir is played by Adam Driver(Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Annette currently in cinemas...) and his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani by Lady Gaga, who has already made a name for herself in "A star is born". Joining them are Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto, Jack Huston(Antebellum, The Irishman...) and Camille Cottin.

The film was released in 2021, the centenary of the founding of the Gucci brand.

Our review of House of Gucci:

House of Gucci plunges us into the world of shenanigans and betrayals that made up the daily life of the Gucci heirs until the tragic death of its leader Maurizio Gucci in March 1995.

Ridley Scott offers us an explosive cast of major movie stars, but if there's one name to remember in this biopic, it's that of Jared Leto, who wonderfully embodies the eccentric cousin Paolo, who has no talent other than to amuse viewers with his incompetence and bad taste.

Lady Gaga devotes herself body and soul to her character, Patrizia Reggiani, who became Madame Gucci after her marriage to heir Maurizio. She is a vulgar, classless woman, but nonetheless possessed of great ambition and an all-consuming thirst for wealth and power. Driven by her lust and need for social revenge, she's constantly scheming, and will do anything to eliminate anyone who gets in her way.

Beyond the acting, Ridley Scott takes us back in time with a mise-en-scène that uses color codes and soundtracks from the 70s to the mid-90s. Each era is represented by a characteristic style of clothing, which also traces the history of the luxury brand with the two Gs.

In short, if you love stories of passionate love and family betrayal, there's a good chance you'll enjoy House of Gucci.
