AIR: Matt Damon & Ben Affleck reunite in the Nike Air Jordan movie - trailer

Iconic duo Matt Damon and Ben Affleck will reunite on screen in AIR, the film about Nike and the story of Michael Jordan's signing, in theaters in the US on April 5, 2023 and on streaming platform Prime Video in France on May 12. The sports biopic illustrates the pivotal deal that propelled the brand to the status of sports market leader.

Directed by Ben Affleck, the feature will trace the beginnings of the collaboration between legendary Chicago Bulls athlete Michael Jordan and iconic sportswear brand Nike during the 1980s. In addition to co-writing the script, the two actors will have a starring role in the film: Ben Affleck will play the role of Phil Knight, billionaire and co-founder of the brand, while Matt Damon will play Sonny Vaccaro, Nike's marketing director.

The rest of the cast is also outstanding with big names such as Jason Bateman as Rob Strasser, one of Nike's top executives, Viola Davis as Deloris, Michael Jordan's mother, Chris Tucker as Howard White, a basketball executive, and Marlon Wayans as George Raveling, a close friend of Sonny Vaccaro and acquaintance of Michael Jordan.
