Perhaps the most surprising piece of information about Miraculous, le Film is that it is the second most expensive French film in history. The animated film, by Jérémy Zag, is due to hit cinemas on July 5, 2023.
The animated feature is inspired by the children's series of the moment. Gone are the days of Pat'Patrouille, and Miraculous is the talk of the playground. This series, which is both French and sold internationally, is sold in all media: books, video games, manga, TV movies, and finally, in July, as a feature film. With a budget of $80 million, it is the second most expensive French film of all time (more than Asterix and The Three Musketeers!), behind Luc Besson's Valérian.
