Dog and Cat will have its free-to-air premiere on TF1 on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 9:10 p.m., with an announced availability on TF1+. Directed by Reem Kherici, this comedy teams the filmmaker with Franck Dubosc and Philippe Lacheau for a race from Montreal to New York.
Monica runs Diva, a cat who’s become a social media darling. Jack, a thief, owns Chichi, a dog that swallowed a stolen ruby. When the two pets bolt at the airport, their owners must team up to track them down, even as a police officer closes in on Jack.
The film tracks, in parallel, the humans’ quest and the animals’ journey, who are also forced to get along despite their differences. Inès Reg lends her voice to Diva and Artus to Chichi. Reem Kherici plays Monica, Franck Dubosc portrays Jack, and Philippe Lacheau plays the police officer Brandt.
Released in French theaters on February 14, 2024, Chien et Chat blends live-action with CGI-animated animals. Following Paris at Any Cost and D-Day, Reem Kherici signs here her third feature film, built around a double duo: the owners on one side, their dog and cat on the other.
