Beat It, Billie Jean, Human Nature, and, of course, Thriller, the cult tracks follow one another in the best-selling album of all time. Michael Jackson's Thriller turns 40 in 2022, and to mark the occasion, Paramount+ has launched production of Thriller 40. A documentary retracing the creation of the masterpiece, and the clips that accompany it, scheduled for release on the platform on December 3.
Throughout the film, a host of music personalities will give their personal accounts of this incredible adventure, including Usher, Will.I.am, Mary J. Blige, Mark Ronson and John Landis. Personalities who participated in the creation of this album, but also those who lived its legend, or were inspired by it.
It's an opportunity to rediscover this unique work which, 40 years on, remains the best-selling album in history, with 70 million copies sold, 20 million more than AC/DC's second, Back in Black.
