Taking an interest in the worst soccer team in the sport's history is a strange gamble, and yes, you'll certainly be impressed by its fate, and moved by the ending, which does everything to make you exult.
But A Dream Team doesn't have much else to offer. It's a flatly written little film with caricatured characters, in which you expect a bit of everything: the amateur players, each one lamer than the last, the angry, resigned coach who learns true happiness from them, and so on. The surprise is absent, and that's a shame, because the story is really beautiful. Perhaps the documentary was enough, and there was no need to adapt it into a fiction film.
