The Cannes Film Festival 2025 is fast approaching. In the meantime, festival-goers can prepare their program by taking a look at the various selections - Official Selection, Critics' Week andAcid.
As for the Quinzaine des Cinéastes, the selection is more than enviable, with 18 films chosen from 1600 works viewed by the selection committee. Once again, this year's edition is all about openness and discovery! Among the films in competition is Canadian director Félix Dufour-Laperrière's animated film La mort n'existe pas.
The Quinzaine des Cinéastes review: "This is an animated film like no other, reminiscent of a graphic novel, with absolutely fabulous artistic direction. The film was made by hand, but you'd never know it on the big screen, because the aesthetic choices and the precision of the film are so extraordinary. This is Félix Dufour-Laperrière's third film, and we're delighted to have him in the selection."
Death Doesn't Exist will be unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. The release date in French cinemas is not yet known.
