In this new Paramount+ original series, Beth and Rip are trying to build a future together in South Texas. But their fresh start is soon challenged by a rival ranch willing to do whatever it takes to protect its empire, in a territory where family bonds, loyalty, and survival stay at the core of the narrative.
The trailer foregrounds a direct continuity with the Yellowstone universe, while moving the action to a different setting. The series preserves the family and turf tensions of the franchise, but re-centers the plot on the couple Beth and Rip, two characters who have become central to a portion of the original show's audience.
Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are joined by Ed Harris and Annette Bening, both Oscar-nominated, as well as Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind. The first season comprises nine episodes, with a two-episode premiere planned on Paramount+.
Dutton Ranch is created by Chad Feehan, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. The series draws on the characters conceived by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, the executive producers of Yellowstone. Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, already tied to the original series, are producing this new take.
