Maria Sten takes the lead in Neagley, the first spin-off from Reacher. Prime Video confirms the eight episodes of this new action series will drop simultaneously on September 16, 2026. Alan Ritchson will also guest star, reprising his role as Jack Reacher.
Already a familiar presence across several seasons of Reacher, Frances Neagley takes center stage here. A former member of the U.S. Army's 110e Special Investigations Unit, where she worked alongside Jack Reacher, she now works as a private detective in Chicago.
When she learns that a close friend from her past has died in a suspicious accident, Neagley refuses to accept the official version. Her investigation leads her to a particularly dangerous threat, forcing her to marshal the methods, reflexes, and skills honed during her military career.
The presence of Alan Ritchson is meant to bridge the two series, but Neagley remains built around its lead character and a standalone case. The spin-off will premiere on the same day as the season 4 finale of Reacher, which has been airing weekly on Prime Video since August 12, 2026.
With Maria Sten at the center, the ensemble includes Greyston Holt as detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman. The series is directed by Sam Hill, Gary Fleder, Phil Abraham, and M. J. Bassett.
Neagley is developed by Nick Santora, who previously ran Reacher, and Nicholas Wootton. The two writers also serve as executive producers alongside Lee Child, Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs and Lisa Kussner. The production is handled by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios.
The character Frances Neagley comes from Lee Child’s novels. This new series expands their universe by following a more settled investigator than Jack Reacher, based in Chicago, but also marked by her time in the military police.
