Stunt puts the stunt profession at the heart of an action comedy written and directed by Franck Gastambide. The actor also stars as Franck, a professional whose career is going through a rough patch. The film is slated for Prime Video, with no exact release date announced.
After a Hollywood shoot that goes off the rails, Franck is handed a completely different assignment: accompany Mike, a MMA superstar notoriously hard to manage. Portrayed by Jean-Pascal Zadi, this athlete drags his handler along into a wild night in Mexico, between parties, cartels and high-octane stunts.
Sofiane Zermani, Valeria Galviz and José Garcia round out the announced cast. The screenplay is by Franck Gastambide and Charles Van Tieghem, based on an idea by Franck Gastambide.
The production brings together Kowloon Film, a Mandarin & Cie company, and Autodidakte, within Mediawan. The story centers on the forced pairing of two characters: a stuntman rattled by a professional setback and a champion whom he must rein in. The first footage and the release schedule will clarify this French project for the platform.
