After Fashion Week, Paris shifts its spotlight. On Wednesday, October 7 and Thursday, October 8, 2026, the garden of the Rodin Museum in the 7th arrondissement will host Elegance Is Authority: The Story, Style and Power of Panem, an installation devoted to the aesthetics of Hunger Games. Two days to discover it, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Here, no tributes are released into the gardens of the Hôtel Biron. The star is the costume. The installation examines everything that shapes Panem’s style: the Capitol’s amplified glamour and calculated extravagance, ceremonial silhouettes, the fabrics, the volumes, and that Hunger Games way of turning clothing into a tool of power, representation, propaganda, and even resistance.
Hunger Games: Dawn on the Harvest, the eagerly awaited prequel's new trailer hits theaters
A new trailer for Hunger Games: Dawn on the Harvest, Francis Lawrence's Haymitch-centered prequel, starring Joseph Zada and Glenn Close. In theaters November 18, 2026. [Read more]
On the program, pieces from previous films, but also costumes from Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Harvest. Not a grand retrospective or a tour clogged with recreated sets. The interest lies elsewhere: capturing what the screen only hints at for a few seconds—textures, cuts, and the craft details behind the making.
This elegance, seen as a marker of authority, directly echoes the world of the upcoming installment, where the Capitol’s splendor and ceremonial outfits fully accompany the staging of power. The event thus plays on two fronts: a costume exhibition on one side and a preview of Sunrise on the Harvest on the other.
Set 24 years before Katniss Everdeen’s adventures, this new installment revisits the 50th Hunger Games, the saga’s second Expiation, and follows a young Haymitch Abernathy long before he becomes the jaded mentor we know. This Rodin Museum detour lets us glimpse the costumes from this still-unreleased chapter while revisiting iconic pieces from the saga. The film hits French theaters on November 18, 2026.
Getting into the arena is straightforward: access is included with the Rodin Museum’s standard ticket, which also grants entry to the museum’s collections and the garden. Because capacity can be limited, it’s best not to wait until late in the day if you want time to take in the costumes.
For two days, Panem steps away from the Hunger Games bleachers to stroll through the halls of the Rodin Museum.
