Hunger Games costumes head to Paris. On October 7, 2026, the Rodin Museum unveils Elegance Is Authority, an installation exploring Panem’s style and featuring several pieces tied to the upcoming film Dawn on the Harvest.

After Fashion Week, Paris shifts to a new stage. This Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the garden of the Rodin Museum, in the 7th arrondissement, hosts Elegance Is Authority: The Story, Style and Power of Panem, an installation devoted to the aesthetics of The Hunger Games. One day to explore it, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m..

Here, no tributes are released in the gardens of the Hôtel Biron. The star is the costume. The installation dives into everything that shapes Panem's style: the Capitol's extravagance, ceremonial silhouettes, the fabrics, the volumes, and that quintessential Hunger Games approach of turning clothing into a tool of power, representation, or even resistance.

On the agenda are pieces from previous films, but also elements from Hunger Games: Dawn on the Harvest. That doesn’t amount to a full retrospective or a tour heavy with recreated sets. The interest lies elsewhere: getting closer to what the screen only shows for a few seconds—cuts, textures, and the craft details and directing choices that shape the illusion.

The title itself, Elegance Is Authority, already sets the tone. The idea of elegance as a marker of power directly echoes the world of the upcoming chapter and the character Drusilla Sickle, portrayed by Glenn Close. The event thus operates on two levels: a costume exhibition on one side and a teaser for the new film on the other.

This new episode takes us back to Panem 24 years before Katniss Everdeen’s adventures, during the 50th Hunger Games—the second Quell in history. The story follows the young Haymitch Abernathy, long before the world-weary mentor we know. This detour at the Rodin Museum lets us catch glimpses of this still-unwritten chapter while revisiting some of the saga’s more familiar elements.

To step into the arena, it’s straightforward: entry is included in the Rodin Museum’s standard ticket, at €14 for full price, which also grants access to the museum’s collections and the garden. Because capacity can be limited, it’s best not to wait until late in the day if you want to take time to study the costumes.

For one day, Panem abandons the Hunger Games' bleachers to stroll the corridors of the Rodin Museum.
