An explosive end to Fortnite season 4! The lucky gamers who were able to attend theGalactus event, which was held this Tuesday evening, December 1, at 10 pm, were thus able to fight against the super-villain of the Marvel stable while he was ready to devour the entire island. Armed with your bus and bombs, they had to drive the vehicle improved by Tony Stark until the World Devourer swallowed all the explosives and was sent back to his dimension.
The end was as expected, with a little surprise for the players who stayed until the end since a countdown appeared, indicating the date and time of the beginning of season 5. And we didn't have to wait very long, since this new season started this December 2nd at 10 am. On the content side, there are several new features, starting with the map which has changed a bit since the intervention of Galactus, with old places like Pleasant Park or Tilted Towers (renamed Salty Towers), but also new ones like Stealthy Stronghold, a jungle enclosure, Colossal Coliseum, a fighting arena from ancient Rome or Hunter's Haven, instead of the Sentinel Hills.
As for the Battle Pass skins, there are five bounty hunter skins from various dimensions to unlock, including Din Djarin, hero of The Mandalorian series, available upon purchase of this pass (and which you can upgrade by completing challenges). There are even whispers of L'Enfant, aka Baby Yoda, as a back-up. For the moment, however, there is nothing about this on the items to unlock. And on the gameplay side, there are also a lot of new features: as our colleagues from jeuxvideo.com pointed out, the possibility to hide in the sand, or even crystals allowing you to move. Some weapons are also back... Also note that as a bounty hunter, you can collect gold bars to buy weapon upgrades, etc.
