Dive 20,000 leagues under the sea, discovering the animals, landscapes and treasures buried in the ocean, with Endless Ocean Luminous, an exploration game developed by Arika. Unveiled at the Nintendo Direct in February 2024, the title is due for release on Nintendo Switch on May 2, 2024. Without further ado, here are the two trailers.
" Put on your flippers and dive into the Veiled Sea, an unexplored region whose depths change with every dive. Discover and study over 500 marine life forms, some of which were considered extinct... or even the stuff of legend! What will you discover on your journey beneath the surface?
Endless Ocean Luminous is the third installment in the Endless Ocean saga of adventure/exploration games. The last title dates back to 2009: Endless Ocean 2: Seafloor Adventurers was released for Wii, and offered the chance to explore seven different spaces.
This new game for the Switch features a very large map, which changes with each new dive. We take on the role of a diver, tasked with documenting all the marine life to be found in this sea. From the most common fish to whales, dinosaurs and legendary animals, there are plenty of surprises in store. In all, over 500 species are waiting to be discovered in this title.
The Veiled Sea changes drastically with each dive: coral reefs, dark abysses, frozen seas, underwater mountains... Landscapes are constantly evolving, even when the map is unchanged: depending on the time of day you go out, the light and fauna will not be the same.
If you have a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, you can also join the multiplayer mode: up to 30 divers meet on the map to explore the ocean together.
