Urbexcape is the name of this immersive experience set in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, inside the former premises of a well-known escape room... This location, previously occupied by Team Time (which has now permanently closed), now hosts a unique adventure that blends scenic urbex exploration, horrific ambiance, and escape room.
The concept is straightforward: an old escape room, long since emptied of players but still rich with its story. Urbexcape has reclaimed these abandoned rooms, which over the years have hosted countless scenarios involving zombies and mafia boss battles. Now, the setting is left as-is, immersing visitors in a deliberately dark and unsettling atmosphere. Someone—or something—still lives here, and you’re very clearly not welcome!
Urbexcape blends elements of interactive fiction and urban exploration simulation, drawing inspiration from traditional escape games but without necessarily adhering to all their conventions. Participants navigate through an unaltered space, one that bears the marks of time, while also immersing themselves in a new storyline — that of mysterious individuals who seem to have taken control of the site.
This isn’t a promise of puzzles or riddles, but rather an immersive atmosphere of dread—intensified by empty, silence-filled corridors, dramatic lighting effects, and unexpected sound elements. Lasting around an hour and a half, this experience, suitable only for those over 16, will have you trembling with terror, no doubt about it.
