Nikito Domus: our test of the immersive leisure space in Rosny-sous-Bois

Looking for some family fun? Head for Nikito Domus, in Rosny-sous-Bois, an indoor leisure space that opened its doors on April 6, 2024. This 10,000 m² complex offers a unique immersive leisure experience near Paris. From bowling and electric karting to virtual reality and live entertainment, Nikito Domus is THE new place to be for an afternoon of fun! We've tested it, we'll tell you about it...

Are you looking for a place to have fun with your kids at the weekend? Good news then, especially if you're in Seine-Saint-Denis! Nikito is moving into the Domus shopping center in Rosny-sous-Bois, offering a whole host of fun activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Called Nikito Domus, this ambitious project promises to transform the former Alinéa space into a 10,000 m² playful megalopolis. Ideally located, the new leisure center is due to open its doors on April 6, 2024, coinciding with the opening of the metro line 11 extension.

The concept behind Nikito Domus is as bold as it is innovative. Usually, to achieve such a large surface area, leisure centers rely on extensive sports grounds. However, Nikito Domus breaks with this tradition by offering a varied range of indoor activities. Visitors can enjoy bowling, an electric go-kart track, or a unique experience with the Prison Island action game.

For those seeking a calmer experience, the site will also offer mini-golf, karaoke and quiz rooms, not to mention arcade and virtual reality games. Fans of more physical games will be delighted to discover augmented darts, a trampoline park and a laser game. In December 2024, the center will also welcome Immersive Gamebox, a new augmented reality/projection gaming space offering a wide range of experiences(Tetris, Squid Game, Black Mirror, Angry Birds, Pat'Patrouille, etc.).

In detail, there are two spaces:

Nikito Family: a 4,000-square-meter entertainment paradise specially designed for families, featuring a Trampoline Park with over 35 trampolines, Ninja Warrior courses, two giant slides, a 300m² maze, and more. It also includes a 300m² Laser Tag zone and over 60 arcade games for endless fun.

Nikito World: a new entertainment hotspot sprawling over 6,000 m², packed with a variety of activities. Visitors can enjoy 600 m² of electric go-karting across two levels, 16 bowling lanes, 35 Prison Island escape rooms, virtual reality experiences, a 9-hole mini-golf course, three karaoke rooms, a trivia game, as well as darts and axe-throwing.

Note that the park takes you on a galactic odyssey. Visitors enter through the rear of the ship's reactor, then discover each activity, represented by the 5 planets of the Nikito universe:

Volcano Planet (Bowling)
Neon Planet (Go-Karting, Laser Tag, Arcades)
Jungle Planet (Bar, Mini-Golf, Throwing Games)
Ice Planet (35 Prison Island Escape Rooms)
Candy Planet (Trampoline Park)

The project also integrates a social and cultural dimension with performance and conference spaces, as well as a varied F&B offering. The venue promises to be a crossroads for encounters and exchanges, energizing local life and attracting a varied public, from families and groups of friends to professionals looking for a venue for their Team Building, EVG, EVJF and other events. For children's birthdays, we offer a 1-hour activity + 45-minute snack in a dedicated room, for children aged 7-10 and over. And on Tuesdays, you can try out each activity for 30 euros admission.

Our review of Nikito Domus:

An indoor entertainment center that we had the pleasure of exploring... It offers a wide range of activities suitable for all ages, whether you're looking to enjoy family fun or hang out with friends. We couldn't resist trying out the laser tag, bowling, Prison Island, augmented reality darts, and mini-golf...

We kicked off our day with Prison Island... It’s a lot of fun, family-friendly, and features challenges that cater to both sports enthusiasts and cerebral types. That said, we did find the lack of explanations for each game in the cells a little frustrating—most of the time, it wasn’t clear what we were supposed to do. But it doesn’t take away from the fun, especially since the challenge mode, reminiscent of "Fort Boyard", pushes you to give your best and promises an exciting experience! We, for one, had a very enjoyable time.

As for bowling, it’s pretty much a classic setup, with the twist that each game can be customized using mini-games available at the lane's kiosk. We tried a traditional game as well as a team challenge to knock down a castle. The result? A fun-filled attempt to rack up strikes... Plus, there’s no need to rent bowling shoes.

The laser tag area is somewhat compact, but that’s a good thing. It allows for intense head-to-head battles, creating a true galactic showdown that’s quite spectacular. Special mention for the decor, cleverly designed to fit the tight space and allowing for easy movement between zones—murals and balconies included.

And then, to top off the day, we enjoyed some mini-golf and augmented reality darts. The darts game is really fun, especially with the augmented reality projection on the target, which adds an extra layer of excitement and keeps boredom at bay (trying to hit a plain target quickly gets dull...). The mini-golf is quite traditional, with some tricky holes that challenge your skills but remain very enjoyable.

On the food front, we couldn’t resist ordering a pizza—delicious—along with tasty hot dogs and melty cheese nachos. Perfect for fueling up before the afternoon’s activities. Overall, Nikito Domus proves to be a fantastic venue—super fun to discover, especially with family. It guarantees a memorable day of entertainment for kids and adults alike.
