The Pokémon Pokopia expansion pass will soon unlock access to Fonds-Bulleux, an aquatic city to build and explore on Nintendo Switch 2. The first wave of paid content goes live on August 5, 2026, bringing new Pokémon, buildings, and underwater mechanics.

Ready to dive into a new adventure? Pokémon Pokopia welcomes Fonds-Bulleux, a new underwater city to build and develop thanks to the game's expansion pass, available from August 5, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2. This first paid expansion pass will let you explore the ocean depths, attract new Pokémon, and construct brand-new structures beneath the surface. The season pass overview:

«Keep building your Pokémon paradise with the Expansion Pass! This paid DLC includes three content waves that bring new towns, new Pokémon to encounter, and new features.»

With your new Diving ability, you’ll be able to grow your underwater city in the world of Fonds-Bulleux. This new aquatic metropolis is designed from the ground up for the ocean floor, featuring buildings built from floating blocks, new furniture, fresh décor, and lots of Pokémon to meet. Like in previous cities, you’ll need to clean up the environment, build habitats, unlock items, and attract new Pokémon.

This extension also brings a host of new gameplay features: players will be able to grow watermelons with the help of watering-specialized Pokémon, use Electric-type Pokémon to power certain facilities, enjoy an upgraded Surf ability, whip up smoothies, and explore the depths by following glowing corals down to the ocean floor. Players will finally be able to build a Sharpedo submarine, which will serve as a secret hideout.

The expansion pass includes several upgrades, to be released in three waves. The first, arriving on August 5, 2026, will introduce the town of Fonds-Bulleux. The second, set for the late 2026, will add the ability for Ditto and other Pokémon to wear accessories, along with new furniture and additional Pokémon. Finally, a third expansion planned for 2027 will open the doors to a second, brand-new city.

The DLC pass is already available on the Nintendo eShop for €34.99. That price tag isn’t trivial for a game that’s already selling around €70. It grants access to three expansions scheduled to rollout in August 2026, later this year, and in 2027.

AFree update (version 2.0.0) will also drop on August 5 for all Pokémon Pokopia owners. It lets you learn the move Dive from Manaphy, letting you swim beside Water-type Pokémon and build submerged structures. Unlike the expansion pass content, this update does not include the new town Fonds-Bulleux.
