Paris Games Week promises to be more immersive and ambitious than ever! The major video game show returns to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from October 30 to November 2, 2025, with many new features. These include the arrival of the TCG Gala at the Dôme de Paris, new areas dedicated to professionals, exclusive concerts, even more eSports competitions, and above all, the presentation of the most eagerly awaited video games of the moment and upcoming releases for 2026.
The Paris Games Week 2025 program promises a complete experience at the heart of the gaming world. For five days, theSyndicat des Éditeurs de Logiciels de Loisirs (SELL)will take over the halls of Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles with a wealth of content: exclusive previews, indie games, a cosplay village, manga, art and pop culture areas, not to mention major eSports events. This edition promises to be a must-see for all video game enthusiasts, both professionals and the general public.
For this edition, players will discover even more video games to try out and enjoy new areas dedicated to gaming, immersive experiences, and eSports competitions. The show also offers more live shows and interactive activities, as indicated in the official press release. Among the must-see attractions, the Game France Pavilion showcases French video game talent. Visitors will also find the Paris Games Week Family, a friendly space designed for families and young gamers.
As for the publishers present, we're expecting to see Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox, as well as Bandai Namco, Capcom Entertainment, Activision, Focus Entertainment, Epic Games and Ubisoft. As for the games on show, here's an initial list:
And lots of other surprises! Also note the presence of an experience aroundPragmata, scheduled for release in 2026.
New this year, the show will feature three evening events, on October 30 and 31, and November 1. Until 9 p.m., visitors will be able to discover the best of video gaming, as well as happenings on the Grande Scène, such as comedy shows, spotlights on talented creators and concerts. This year's event will also feature a special guest artist, who will lend his expertise as a consultant: Big Flo. With his brother Oli, the famous musical duo will have carte blanche to create something around gaming and music.
Esports is also taking on a more important role... The organizers are really keen to ramp things up... And on the program arethe EMEA Masters Summer 25, the Coupe de France Slash featuring Rocket League, the Trackmania World Cup 2025, and League of Legends Game Changers Rising.
Also in the dome, the Silvergeek trophy, Samuel Etienne's MVP, the This is Blindtest French Cup, a happening by Naza & Akiro, a live performance byAnyme, the Cosplay contest final and, of course, the concert that all gamers have been waiting for: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Please also note that the layout has been redesigned to make it clearer for visitors. Three areas have also been redesigned/added: Discover, for those who are curious and want to learn about video games; Hardware, for professionals and others interested in technology; Business, for professionals and those looking for legal information; and Chillzone, for relaxing between game tests.
On the ticketing side, thepremium offer gives you a guaranteed seat in front of the Grand Scène, to attend the events in the scheduled program. And, of course, a "night" ticket, with preferential rates, for young professionals who work during the day and don't necessarily have the means to reach for the wallet. A limited number of tickets will also be available for Paris Games Night, the preview event on October 29, 2025, which goes on sale at 10am on September 26.
Another new feature is Paris Games Week Junior, which has been completely redesigned. Say hello to Paris Games Week Family, offering something more "ambitious in content", with the added bonus of toy content. Make way, too, for Paris Games Week Campus, bringing together a host of schools, for families wanting to find out more about video game studies and training. And, of course, the manga zone is back, with its cosplays.
And last but not least, the TCG (Trading Card Games) Gala makes a grand entrance at Paris Games Week, with a dedicated 2,000 m² space designed as a genuine event within an event. This not-to-be-missed event for trading card enthusiasts brings together major licenses such as Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana and One Piece, while highlighting emerging franchises such as Rise TCG.
Throughout the show, visitors can attend demonstrations, take part in initiations, meet illustrators, swap cards or experience live boxbreaks. The Gala offers a complete immersion in the TCG universe, from purchase to upgrading, and is fully in line with the multi-experience dynamic of this new edition of PGW, which also takes over the Dôme de Paris for esport finals and exclusive shows.
We explored the show on opening night. In terms of space, everything is concentrated (more or less) in a single hall, which makes it much easier to get around. But you'll still be on your feet a lot, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. You'll also need to be patient when it comes to this show, as there will be a bit of a wait at the entrance depending on what time you arrive at PGW (to give you an idea, we waited an hour in the rain to get through security, and the lines depending on your ticket aren't clear... You've been warned, so be careful to make the most of your time).
The same goes for the games being tested, some of which are more easily accessible because the demos are short. Otherwise, expect to wait in line, provided that the space doesn't close for an hour just as you're about to get your hands on the Holy Grail (hello Capcom on Resident Evil Requiem, we see you...). The spaces are also decorated to varying degrees, with stands in tune with the games, such as Ubisoft's simple and effective Anno 117, or Capcom's beautiful Resident Evil Requiem, while others prefer to focus on the gaming experience itself. Special mention should also be made ofthe Ubisoft stand, which was perfect in every way in terms of management and appeal.
On the gaming side, we're a little disappointed too: there are few upcoming games (over a long period) to test, with the majority either already released (or just released) or about to be released. So it's fine if you come to get an idea of a game before buying it right away, OK, but what most visitors can expect from a show of this type (at least that's what we expect, and what other shows around the world do a little more) is to have access to games that are expected to be released at a later date. Is it a question of timing, with the show coming at a time when it's too early to show this kind of software? That's quite possible, as the release schedule suggests. But there are still a few gems that would be silly not to mention, such as Resident Evil Requiem, among others.
All in all, it was a slightly disappointing edition for us, but we can't blame them when we know that the show wanted to try something new... A trial run, in short, for a better edition next year. But that shouldn't stop you from going and enjoying yourself.
As you can see, Paris Games Week is an event packed with activities that is not to be missed, whether it takes place at Paris Expo or elsewhere! It's an event that always has plenty of gaming surprises in store for us. All you have to do is buy your ticket!
