Designed by Italian artist Isabella Ducrot, the monumental fabric works are the centerpieces of the set design for the latest Dior fashion show. A catwalk setting carefully chosen by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Artistic Director of the House, who nurtures a deep interest incraftsmanship and the promotion/enhancement of artisans.

For 6 days, discover the work of Isabella Ducrot lining the walls of this ephemeral Dior space, erected among the works of Rodin in the sculpture garden.

The installation entitled "Big Aura" is an ode to the power of a garment and the aura it confers on its wearer. Twenty-three dresses, each around 3 meters high, are displayed one after the other along an immense white canvas grid, echoing the dresses of the Ottoman sultans that fascinate the artist. These XXL models also evoke thearchitecture of a garment, and are represented as sewing patterns obtained through various assemblages of textiles and paint. And, as every year, the entire decor is made up of materials and embroideries created by the Chanakya and Chanakya School of Craft workshops in Mumbai.

These works interact with the current exhibition at Galerie Dior, 30 Montaigne.

This exceptional visit also aims to raise public awareness of the value of craftsmanship and traditions, promoted here by the major Parisian fashion house, which is a regular on the catwalk for "engaged" shows, and which aims to preserve this wealth, promote it and perpetuate these ancestral techniques.
