A bivouac in the city: mixology, tastings, and free workshops to take you on a journey to Madeira

Do you suddenly feel like soaking up the sun and traveling to Madeira? Well, we can't promise you sunshine, but the pop-up store "Un bivouac dans la ville"(A camp in thecity), created by Nomade Aventure, a creative and committed travel agency, promises you an immersive experience in the heart of the Portuguese island. From November 14 to 16, 2025, enjoy free workshops, tastings, and cooking classes to discover the culture of Madeira!

Throughout the weekend, the pop-up invites you to travel and share, with a program open to all, but be warned, many workshops have limited places! Between tastings, photo exhibitions, participatory workshops, and discussions about travel, this event highlights Madeira as a land of exploration, nature, and conviviality in an immersive setting. A DJ set with an opening cocktail inspired by local flavors is planned for Friday, September 14 at 8:30 p.m. Registration is required!

The program 

Saturday, November 15

• 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Reproduction of a volcanic eruption for children aged 6 to 11 (15 places)
• 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Tasting of local specialties: mini espetada, milho frito, honey cookies (20 places)
• 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Mixology workshop led by Baptiste Coloda (20 places per session)
• 8:00 p.m.: Presentation of an expert guide to Madeira and the island's top hikes, illustrated by a video projection (45 min)

Sunday, November 16

• 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Cooking workshop and tasting (octopus salad, bolo de caco) – 15 places
• 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Discover Madeiran embroidery and learn about floral motifs – 15 places
• 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Wine workshop led by Pierre Vila Palleja, sommelier and restaurateur – 15 places
