The Alexander McQueen show is a crucial date in the Fashion Week calendar. Launched in 1992 by its eponymous designer, the brand redefined fashion standards with its dark, theatrical and romantic aesthetic, blending couture savoir-faire and provocation. Following the designer's untimely death in 2010, Sarah Burton, who had been his right-hand woman for many years, took over the reins of artistic direction, injecting a dose of contemporaneity. After her departure at the end of 2024, Seán McGirr, JW Anderson's former Ready-to-Wear Director, took over the creative reins.
