Star Wars: a 300 sq m pop-up shop has landed in the heart of Paris — our verdict and photos

The Star Wars universe makes a detour through Paris — landing at Les Halles on April 30, 2026. A 300-square-meter pop-up, boasting more than 1,000 items and activities designed for kids and for collectors.

Attention Padawans and seasoned Jedi alike: the Force has landed right in the heart of Paris. From April 30, 2026 through the end of 2027, The Walt Disney Company teams up with a major toy retailer to launch the very first Star Wars™ Store in France and in Europe. Head to 43ter rue Étienne Marcel, in the 1st arrondissement, just steps from the Halles — a hotspot that already pulls fans in like a magnet galactique.

Promoted as a 300 m² immersive pop-up, the space is neatly organized around two zones: one dedicated to the saga’s iconic figures, the other to The Mandalorian and Grogu, whose release is slated for May 20. But once you’re inside, the immersion stays light. While the neon and the visual merchandising set the mood, you’re more in an XXL storefront than in a fully scenographed experience.

When it comes to shopping, the promise is kept: over 1,000 items with a clear dominance of LEGO and collectible figures, especially on the ground floor. On the upper level, the range broadens (stationery, accessories, clothing, collector backpacks, mugs, water bottles, kids’ costumes, a few plush toys, ...). Prices, typical for Star Wars licenses, run from a small souvenir around €4 (socks, keychains) up to €500–€600 for the more coveted collectibles.

The animations? A space to assemble her own lightsaber (operating on weekends from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM), démonstrations LEGO and a fresque participative, all rather kid-focused. Nice, but mostly anecdotal. The same goes for the cafe—a mini stand façon food truck to grab a quick latte (€6), a coffee (€3; cappuccino €4.5), iced tea (€6) or a cookie (€5) to take away, sans option pour s’installer. You can therefore wander the entire store with your snack in hand.

A word to the wise: despite the floor area, the long, narrow layout can feel tight when it’s crowded. Plan your visit for off-peak hours to make the most of it.

Finally, the schedule stays in step with the stars: the opening will come ahead of the famous May the 4th. On May 4, 2026, early visitors will have access to a special event held at the Grand Rex, with the film’s team in attendance. More activities are planned at the pop-up for the occasion.

Verdict? A pleasant stop for collectors and the curious, provided you temper your expectations: here, the Force is largely about commerce.
