You almost have to search for it to find it. On the first floor of Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, between Diega and Figaret’s corners, PAMA has set up its hair salon amid the racks. Since February 2026, the brand founded by Pedro Xavier has taken over from Sébastien Besnier in this 110 m² space, open to women, men and children. Seven stylists work there in a fresh, relaxed atmosphere, more spontaneous than the ultra-chic vibe surrounding it.
The decor helps a lot. The venue has the feel of a loft lumineux, with wide openings onto square Boucicaut, several styling stations, a bar corner with two small tables for those waiting, and massage chairs at the sink. A drink is offered once you’re settled, conversations stay simple, and the advice comes without turning the appointment into a grand spectacle of hair care. The overall vibe remains upscale, and the tariff grid logically mirrors the department store’s standing.
The house's true signature is mainly on color. The team works on ultra-blended balayages, toners, glosses and natural colorings, with a genuine pursuit of nuance and light. Products are chosen for their quality, their sourcing and a more responsible approach, with a preference for niche references and committed brands.
Derrière PAMA, there is more about Pedro Xavier's journey than anything. He started hairdressing at 15, trained in several upscale salons, climbed to management, then spent two years in London to polish his English and explore a different approach to hair. Back in France, he struck out on his own. His first salon opened in Courbevoie in December 2021, followed by openings in the Marais, the 17th arrondissement, and then the Bon Marché.
The address on rue de Sèvres carries a slightly higher price tag than other salons in the network, with a service and finish level that match the venue. Appointments are booked online, but walk-ins can also try their luck depending on availability. The salon closes at 7pm, convenient for slipping in a cut between shopping sessions or extending a Left Bank outing with a quick stop at the hairdresser.
Amid the racks and the shop windows, PAMA mostly avoids giving the impression of being merely an ancillary service of the department store. People come here to get a haircut, a color, a lightening, or to clear their heads... in the most literal sense.
