Explore Brittany, Germany or Tunisia at the Hors-Ligne festival, which takes a different approach to travel through festive events, from April 19 to July 27, 2025, between Ground Control and Communale.

From April 19 to July 27, 2025, Ground Control and Communale join forces to take you on a journey through a cultural experience that questions our tourism practices, during the Hors-Ligne festival. From Brittany to Berlin, via Tunisia and the Congo, explore cultures and territories through exhibitions, role-playing games, concerts, stand-ups, markets and other festive events, accessible to all!

A festival that offers a disconnection from the frenetic rhythms of everyday life for a more authentic experience that celebrates the diversity of popular cultures, bringing together artists, creators, artisans and enthusiasts. An opportunity to question our travel habits, in a world where Instagram photos are legion, as is over-tourism, while at the same time some people travel by train or bike to avoid impacting their carbon footprint.

The program

  • Exhibition "Allez voir ailleurs" - April 25 to June 22

This photo exhibition plunges visitors into a raw, unadorned journey, far removed from the usual stereotypes. Through portraits of ordinary people and postcard-breaking landscapes, Louis and Léo, the founders of Invendable, take us on an unprecedented journey through three countries: Russia, the United States and France. Here, no filters, no posing, just reality as it is, captured over 50,000 kilometers of road.

  • Libre de Droit - April 19

Libre de Droit is a committed artistic event focusing on Tunisia today. A free space to create, claim and dream together. At its heart: the situation of Sonia Dahmani, a lawyer unjustly imprisoned since May 11, 2024 for speaking out and daring to denounce injustice in her country. It's not just an event, it's a collective voice. A place for artists, diasporas, activists and the curious.

  • La vie est belle - April 20

Dive into the heart of Congolese rumba with a day of dance, music and cinema. In the spotlight: a screening of the cult film La Vie est Belle (1987) by Mweze Ngangura and Benoît Lamy, starring rumba icon Papa Wemba. A veritable madeleine de Proust for the Congolese diaspora, this Belgian-Congolese masterpiece transports us to a vibrant and festive Kinshasa.

  • Horizon on the move - April 25

Ready to set sail? Horizon on the move is an exhibition capturing the essence of displacement and movement in the heart of North Korea, Namibia, Nepal and Iceland. Extend the experience with a dance performance and DJ set.

  • Blu.e Velvet #41: Voyage à Pandock live stream - May 16

For a special evening, HitsuBlu invites the cast of D&Drags, the special drag role-playing mini-campaign created by La Bonne Auberge last year.

  • Brittany wins you over! - May 17th

Dive into a day of pure butter! On the menu: craft ciders and artisanal Breton beers from the Ti-Lõ cider house, an artisans' and producers' market, workshops (Breton bowl, salted butter caramel), a bagad for an introduction to fest-noz dances and a concert by the emerging Armorican scene. A one-way ticket to Brittany, without leaving Paris!

  • Le grand procès du tourisme with FFD - May 21

On Wednesday May 21, Ground Control and the FFD invite you to challenge any ideas you may have about tourism. Whether it's local or spatial, medical or green, all forms of tourism will be scrutinized, praised and criticized by brilliant speakers: does tourism create more insecurity than jobs? Is it viable in a context of climate emergency? Do geopolitical considerations prevent it from becoming local? Medical tourism, space tourism, sex tourism... what are all these excesses? So, who really benefits from tourism?
  • Berlin Calling - June 4

Berlin, a vibrant, resilient city. Known for its teeming cultural scene - from theater to electro - the German capital fascinates as much as it worries, torn between its unique energy and the challenges of gentrification. Meet some of the key players on Berlin's cultural scene to explore this endangered identity, followed by performances, concerts and DJ sets made in Berlin. An intense immersion between celebration and reflection.

  • The Belgian Touch - July 4 and 5

Less than an hour and a half away by train, Belgium awaits us: with concerts, stand-up comedy, DJ sets, illustrated lectures, drag performances, gastronomy, beer and other beverages of all kinds. It's this lively, diverse and up-to-date Belgium that we're looking forward to celebrating over a beautiful weekend in July.
